HOUSE RENOVATION UPDATE
A big thanks to all of the brothers who are financially supporting this project! Thanks to Keith, his building committee and our excellent contractors, the house renovation was completed on time and on budget! The house looks great and the men are very appreciative – the house was full this fall and will be full again this spring!
We have currently raised $450,000 in pledges toward the project. A copy of current donor list is attached. We did not hit our goal of $600,000, so we did not do the roof or all of the exterior work that was planned. We still need to raise more funds to cover interest on our loan and will complete the rest of the project as soon as we have raise the rest of the money. If you or other brothers have not pledged yet, it is not too late! Contact Jack Ourada or myself if you need a copy of the pledge form or additional information to make a final decision.
Pledge checks should be mailed to Clyde Nelson - 132 Lawrence Street- Kingsford, MI 49802. Make a tax deductible donation to AGR Education Foundation or directly to Alpha Psi Alumni Association – either way we get 100% of your donation. If you have any questions on whether a pledge or payment has been received, e-mail myself and/or Clyde (cnelson5@charter.net). We had some delays in reconciling pledges and deposits, but everything should be up-to-date now. Thanks again to the 194 alumni and 59 collegiate brothers who have pledge so far!
Save the Date! House Dedication/Founders Day event has been scheduled for Saturday March 31
The 2012 Founders Day and House Dedication Luncheon will be held March 31, 2012 from 11-2 PM at the Riverview Hotel in River Falls (new hotel across from May Hall). This will be a great event (similar to the Wisconsin Dells event held in January 2010), so be sure to block the date on your calendar today! We are anticipating 150-200 people, so it will be a great opportunity to see brothers from across the 40+ years of Alpha Psi AGR.
Complete details will be mailed in January. Tours of the remodeled AGR House and university buildings along with other activities are being planned for the afternoon. We will have group rates at the Riverview Hotel for those who want to stay overnight. There will be an informal gathering that evening for those who are interested. Pink Rose formal will be held the same evening in Baldwin.
Fraternity House Renovation
Update Documents: Highlights: July 2011 / Highlights: June 2011

(Graduating Senior Eric Paulson dismantles the Chapter Room)
It’s official! After almost eight years of planning by Brother Keith Gunderson and his building committee, the AGR House Renovation project is officially moving forward this month and the collegiate brothers will be moving into a newly remodeled dormitory in September!
The interior of the 40+ year old dormitory portion of the house will be totally renovated. We will replace all windows, add more insulation and replace the heating system to improve energy efficiency. To meet current building codes, all of the electrical and plumbing will be replaced and a sprinkler system added.
The dormitory will remain at 36 beds, with a standard room layout (one desk and closet per man, allowances for lofts, etc.), but we will expand bathrooms and add on-floor laundries on 1st and 2nd floors.. A new enclosed staircase on the east side will go from the basement to the 2nd floor to meet fire codes and improve access.
Our partners in the project are Brother Shaun Fiedler (Pin 578) and his father of Don Fiedler Construction of Cambridge, MN (construction), Steiner Plumbing, Electric and Heating Inc. of River Falls (mechanical systems) and WESTconsin Credit Union in River Falls (financing).
Based on the $420,000 pledged to the project by brothers so far and the cash flow generated from house rent, we are finalizing two loans totaling $659,000. These loans combined with our cash savings and money already collected from pledges provides us with $854,000 to complete 100% of the mechanical and interior work.
We will replace the flat roof with a peak roof, replace the rear entryway and add additional insulation and stucco over the brick exterior in the future once we raised additional pledges to cover those costs.
For more information, go to the www.agralphapsi.com web site. If you have not had a chance to make a pledge to the project yet, contact Brother Jack Ourada at jpourada@new.rr.com or (920) 585-0436. Thanks to your support, the upgraded house will help continue your legacy at UW-RF.

Directory Update in progress
The next directory is scheduled for print in 2011. Undergraduates and Alumni are actively gathering current contact information for this project. A way you can help is to update your contact information by clicking "AGR UPDATE" below. UWRF is striving to be a sustainable institution; Alpha Psi is following that initiative by publishing more of our reports and items online. An online directory is being built in the "INTRANET" portion of this site. Your contact information will only be viewable by brothers registered with this site.
